  • Learning museum management and visiting more museums.

What's your favourite museum?

  • Wuhou Shrine Museum in Chengdu, China

Tell us a bit about your professional career so far!

  • I was inspired by my experience as a museum volunteer, where I interacted with a large number of visitors at an international museum. This role allowed me to communicate with people across diverse age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds, and to respond to a wide range of visitor inquiries. While I was particularly interested in the history and culture of the Three Kingdoms period, I also found great joy in exploring the unknown.

What inspires you to work in the heritage sector?

  • My curiosity extends broadly, and I see museums as places where knowledge is carefully arranged for people to experience, reflect upon, and feel. To me, a museum is not confined to buildings or exhibitions—it exists everywhere, in the stories, objects, and ideas we share.

What's something you would like to achieve on the MAGS committee?

  • I would love to join trips that explore different kinds of museums with fellow “museum fans,” exchanging ideas during and after the journey. If such opportunities do not yet exist, I would be eager to organize one myself, whether as part of school activities or magazine events.

What's your favourite museum?

  • My favourite museum is London Museum Docklands, nestled in the historical industrial heart of the city's East End. I love their topics and themes, they tell important stories and their exhibitions are often really immersive!

What inspires you to work in museums?

  • I’m most interested in co-curation and decolonisation, which have seen really significant development in recent decades, and which can both have really meaningful impacts on different kinds of communities.

What's something you would like to achieve on the MAGS committee?

  • I'm really keen to get as many people involved in our events as possible, mixing and making connections. I can’t wait to share and celebrate our stories within and beyond the MA Museum Studies cohort!!

That's it! Glad to meet you — we're all really looking forward to getting to know you better through our MAGS events. Keep following along to read some exciting stories!

Many thanks to our brilliant photographer and Social Media Officer, Jimmy, for the excellent headshots.
