As the cold weather draws in, we're here to point you in the direction of some exciting festive events happening in Leicester over the coming weeks! Whether you're looking to gear up for the holidays or just distract yourself from your studies, the city's heritage sites have a lot to offer.

Christmas Market at Leicester Cathedral
Step into warmth and wonder with a Christmas Market in the Cathedral that brings together festive cheer and local makers for an enchanting experience – ideal for Christmas gifting!
Saturday 22nd November

Festive Felt Decorations Workshop at Attenborough Arts Centre
Make trees, stars, baubles, robins or get create and make something unique – doesn’t have to be Christmassy, the choice is yours!

Leicester Guildhall Christmas Craft Fair
A unique Christmas shopping experience in the beautiful Guildhall.

Abbey Pumping Station Christmas Steam Day
Enjoy the return of this popular festive event, with one of the Beam Engines in Steam while the band plays Christmas carols. Lots of traditional Christmas toys on show from railways to model steam engines.

Chilling Tales for Christmas at the Guildhall

Make your own fabulous Christmas wreath in the magical surroundings of Leicester Guildhall.

Late Night Christmas Event at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery
Join us for late shopping event with drinks, festive mince pies and 10% off all Christmas shopping. The bar will be open with beverages and festive snacks while you shop. Shop our new ‘Made In Leicester’ range including hand created gifts and beautiful decorations from local makers.

Beer & Carols at St Nicholas Church
Come and join us for our annual Beer and Carols event, held in Leicester’s oldest church. Sing your heart out to a collection of classic Christmas Carols (don’t worry, we’ll provide you with the words!)
